Here’s a quick update on our family:
We’re living in Abilene, Texas and this is our third year here. Bryan is an Assistant Professor of Religion at McMurry University where he teaches History of Christianity. Jennifer and I (mostly Jennifer) continue to homeschool our kids, Eowyn (10), Riley (8), and Micah (almost 5). We are blessed to have found a solid Anglican church in the Diocese of Fort Worth, but the drive is an hour each way. Still, it’s been worth it and the kids love our church so that makes the drive easier. We’re adjusting to life in west Texas, including cowboy boots and hats for the kids (but no oversized belt buckles for the adults yet). We attended our first Texas rodeo this past summer, horse-riding, calf-roping, bucking broncoes and all, and have found some very tasty BBQ joints in town which we enjoy. We do not yet, however, say “fixin'” when we are about to do an activity, such as “I was just fixin’ to eat my lunch.” We count that as a good thing. We still think fondly of our time in C-ville and at All Saints and miss everyone dearly. Please send out warmest Epiphany greetings along.
Bryan

I’m not even from Texas and I say “fixin” when I’m fixin’ to get something done.
